Surrey Hills to South Downs

Haslemere – Farncombe

The Surrey Hills to South Downs line provides a gateway for visitors to explore the beautiful South Downs National Park and Surrey Hills National Landscape.

Outdoors & nature

In Haslemere, stretch your legs with a walk around the National Trust Swan Barn Farm, from the medieval dipping well, past a traditional orchard and through intimate meadows into an ancient woodland.

Further along the line, Witley Station provides access to the National Trust Witley and Milford Commons.

A 5 minute bus ride from Milford Station will bring you to the heart of this Surrey village where you can enjoy browising Secretts of Milford, a popular farm shop selling own-grown fruit and veg and local produce.

Walking

Enjoy an invigorating walk in the Surrey countryside as you explore the National Trust Winkworth Arboretum, accessed by a short bus journey from Godalming Station.

Arts & culture

If you’re visiting between May and July, Loseley Park is well worth a visit and can be accessed by bus from Farncombe Station, at the end of this quaint railway line. Here you can discover fasinating artefacts, including many fine works of art and furniture from the 17th century.
