North Cheshire Line

Hooton – Warrington Bank Quay

There’s plenty to discover along the picturesque North Cheshire Line.

Explore original artefacts from the Roman Empire and step into history with unique hands-on experiences of Roman life at Dewa Roman Experience in Chester.

Hop on the train to Frodsham, a pretty market town and an ancient Anglo-Saxon settlement that was featured in the Domesday Book from 1086.

Further along the line, the charming town of Warrington is located on the banks of the River Mersey, a position which has given the town prominence since it was founded in the Roman era. The town enjoys a rich cultural history, you can still see the pit-marks from civil war cannons in the walls of the parish church today.
