History & heritage

Aberystwyth is bursting with history, ready to be explored. A 20-minute walk from the station takes you to the entrance of the famous Aberystwyth Electric Cliff Railway. It is the longest electric cliff railway in Britain. Ceredigion Museum is housed in a beautifully preserved Edwardian theatre and is situated in the heart of Aberystwyth, near the seafront. The museum is home to both permanent and temporary displays that explore Ceredigion’s heritage, culture and art.

Walking

From Borth you can walk the Coastal Path to Aberystwyth. With stunning views of Cardigan Bay on a clear day, the walk takes you along the cliff edge and seashore to the summit of Constitution Hill and the Cliff Railway.
