You may recognise the beautiful landscapes as the backdrop of popular BBC drama series Happy Valley. The Grade II listed Shibden Hall in Halifax is the original home of Anne Lister and many rooms were used in the filming of Gentleman Jack.

Walking

The Calder Valley line runs parallel with the Rochdale Canal making it ideal for a peaceful station to station walk, incorporating some of the area’s unrivalled scenery.
