Inspired by the journeys of 20th-century steel and cotton workers escaping city smog for fresh Peak District air, this trail invites modern-day explorers to do the same – sustainably and car-free.
Created by the High Peak and Hope Valley Community Rail Partnership and South East Manchester CRP, the trail winds through woodlands, meadows, canal paths, and historic towns, offering stunning views and rich industrial heritage along the way.
