Accessible Adventures

Welcome to Accessible Adventures. We believe great days out should be for everyone, and we’re here to show how simple, enjoyable, and inclusive rail travel can be.

While accessibility varies across the network, improvements continue to be made nationwide. In the meantime, we’re here to help you discover the routes, stations, and destinations that are accessible today.

The insights and highlights on this page are powered by community rail. Across the country, community rail partnerships and station volunteer groups are working to break down barriers, provide hands-on support, and empower disabled people to travel with confidence.

An example of this is the Travelling with Confidence programme, a nationwide initiative funded by the Motability Foundation that helps disabled people build the skills, awareness, and confidence to travel by rail. You can find out more here.

You’ll find a selection of more impactful initiatives in our special Accessible Adventures by Rail blog, alongside practical tips and inspiration for accessible days out across Britain. Whether you’re planning a coastal escape, a heritage town visit, or a peaceful countryside wander. Where will your future accessible adventures take you?

Discover accessible adventure across Britain by rail, with inclusive routes, community‑led projects, and supportive initiatives for easier, more enjoyable travel for all.
