Another art space to enjoy is the new gallery tucked away in a slim building near the village shop in the heart of Shoreham. Claremont Contemporary Art Gallery had premises in central Sevenoaks for many years. Now based at The Old Livery Store, the gallery exhibits top contemporary art and sculpture over two floors. Many of the artists have won multiple awards and have works featured in museums and important collections worldwide. The gallery move was inspired by Victorian artist Samuel Palmer’s work and love of nature, and an emphasis on passion for nature informs the works on show. Sevenoaks 25 minutes from London by train
Take a short bus ride from Sevenoaks Station to get lost in the beautiful Riverhill Himalayan Gardens and marvel at the charming sculptures set among the picturesque backdrop of the estate.
